and so i've got 2 hours on hand before i sink myself in front of the telly for lost.
out comes the chocolate, butter, eggs, flour and .. kahlua!



this was definitely a pass considering the miserable failure of the first try:
i didn't split the batter into 2, so the thickness was just right.
i found plain flour and used it instead of self-raising.
the top crust was crispy! you could hear the faint crunch when you break the surface with a fork.
it was gungy - i like brownies to be dense, rich and totally un-cakey. can't tell from the photo's angle, thou.

life is good where there is food.
